As we pray together toward our future home…
Scripture: “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
Reflect: Money and God can’t both sit on the throne of our lives—one will always take precedence over the other. We can either seek to use God to serve our desires for security and success, or we can let our resources serve His purposes. Consider how For Austin can be an opportunity to re-center God as your primary focus and use your finances for His kingdom.
Prayer: “Father, help me to serve You wholeheartedly. Teach me to prioritize You above all else and use my resources for Your glory.”
Optional Element: Write “God” on one sticky note and “Money” on another, and place them on opposite sides of a room. Stand between them, then walk deliberately toward “God,” symbolizing your commitment to choose Him over material concerns. Reflect on this choice throughout the day, remembering that each step toward God is a step away from what competes for your heart.
