Day 18: Matthew 6:33

As we pray together toward our future home…

Scripture: “But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Reflect: Seek first. What are the first things you reach for in the morning? Where do you turn when life feels stressful or uncertain? Imagine if your first instinct was to seek God—a God who loves you, knows your needs, and, as a good Heavenly Father, wants to provide for you. How might your day, decisions, and focus shift if you turned to Him before anything else?

Prayer: “Father, help me put Your kingdom first, trusting You with the rest. Remind me that You are a good Heavenly Father who meets my needs.”

Optional Element: Set a daily alarm or phone reminder with the phrase “Seek First.” When it goes off, pause to pray or read Matthew 6:33, grounding your day in God’s presence before anything else. This daily pause can help you establish a lasting habit of putting God’s kingdom above all else.
