Day 4: Proverbs 16:9

Scripture: “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

Reflect: We all have plans, and sometimes those plans don’t unfold the way we expect. It can be frustrating or even disheartening when life takes unexpected turns. Proverbs 16:9 gently reminds us that while we may map out our own course, God is the one who ultimately guides our steps. Instead of seeing detours as disruptions, what if we viewed them as part of God’s redirection for something greater? Think about a time when your plans changed unexpectedly but led to something better. How did that experience shape your trust in God? Think of that trust you experienced as you consider your next steps with For Austin? Embrace the uncertainty, knowing God is walking with you, every step of the way. He’s got you!

Prayer: “Lord, guide my steps as I discern what You want me to invest in For Austin.”

Optional Element: Take a walk around your neighborhood and pray over your steps. Ask God to guide your neighbors to His greater purpose.
